This newly restored director’s cut celebrates a century since this brave writer and equally remarkable woman ran away together. The film shows that the countries in which they traveled greatly influenced his writing, but there were constant battles with Authority, and guardians of public morality the world over thought his books and paintings were a threat to civilization….it was never a quiet life.
We are delighted that director Christopher Miles and producer and composer Stanley Seeger will both be here to take questions following the film. Artwork by Lawrence will also be on display.
